Exercise is important in helping to counteract the addictive tendencies. For those recovering from an injury, learning more about flexibility and strengthening one's muscles is also very helpful.

Karate, Aikido and other martial arts have a very nice effect on the nervous system on top of helping one increase their confidence and enjoy the benefits of flexibility. Training one's mind into healthy habits and away from negative ones are an important part of recovery.
